The Bench Designed for an Interactive Discovery Experience
The Foldable Gallery Bench serves as a dynamic installation for showcasing artwork in public places, turning an otherwise stagnant area of a gallery or event space into an interactive art experience. The bench features 8 double-sided panels, each displaying a unique piece of artwork and a QR code for viewers to scan and explore the artist's complete body of work.
The accordion-style panels and seats allow the viewer to push and pull each panel to create a novel interaction with each piece, as any two panels can be viewed side by side.
The bench seating, which end-caps the panels, is also on wheels. Along with providing comfortable seating options, it adds another layer of play and interaction.
The movement of one seated person shifts the panels, prompting users to engage with each other. This push and pull creates a spontaneous and shared experience that encourages a sense of connection.
